Social Work & Counseling
Ms. Jo is very excited to have joined the DVISD family at DVMS as a bilingual school social worker this year. She recently moved from Portland, Oregon where she was a school social worker there for a few years after working in hospitals, non-profit agencies and the national crisis line. Ms. Jo has over 12 years of experience in mental health and has a passion for community and connection. Jo received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Fullerton and her Master in Social work from Portland State University.
Ms. Jo believes that learning is a life long process and that diversity and differences are what make each of us special. She practices with a strengths based approach that individualizes support for those she works with and is looking forward to learning more about the community and all that it offers. Everyone is welcome in Ms.Jo’s office.
